Adaptive brightness doesn't work well in Samsung S10 as well. It's for all.
Visited Service Center. they have informed that their phones adaptive brightness works the same

Disable it.. Personally I never use Auto brightness.. When phone is in pocket or purse.. Brightness reaches to highest level because its total dark and drains battery.. Best way disable it.. Depends on users

Please follow the below mentioned steps in order to resolve the issue:-

>Perform the reset settings of the device (setting>>general management>>reset>>reset setting).

> Run the device in safe mode and check the issue.

> If still issue not resolved, please register your concern in Samsung members app (click on “+“icon>send feedback>Error report/ Ask Questions).
