Red color badge icon on my whatsapp app

From Oct 22nd I'm noticing a red color badge icon is appearing on my whatsapp app (left side of the app), And it's not the notification badge icon but quite similar to that. I'm using galaxy a71 device so please if anyone having same issue or having knowledge about this issue please share with me. Your help will be much appreciated...🙏😊

you mean to say that app has been updated that's why it's appearing right...??

It shows red icon because it is installed by Galaxy Store. You can even check the source of install from app info. If you want to remove it then backup whatsapp data then uninstall it and again install it from Google Play Store. And always update it through play store only.

But I've uninstalled it then I've installed it from Google Play Store only... . But it's still appearing... .
Any other idea...???

I've turned off the auto app update in galaxy store but still it's appearing. Now I've to wait until it's get an update from Google Play Store... .

Kindly be informed "whatsapp" is a 3rd party application which is not from Samsung. As we are trained to handle Samsung software and hardware related troubleshooting, we advise you to contact to the respective application software support.

You can reach to the app developer through email channel go to:-
Play store > select more option > select installed app > click on read more.
