Proximity Sensor during calls

Screen is not turning off during calls. When i press hard on sensor by hand then it is off with efforts. But when i check sensor of my device by applying code sensor works perfectly. Something is not right. Need advise !!

check out sensor may dirty or you are using 9d glass protector.

Its happening from the day first when i bought pin pack. technically it works perfectly when i check it via code. all sensors works fine. but during calls it doesn't turn off due to which often buttons are pressing by touching on face/ears or other body parts.

check it using in night or in dark places some time light effects.

when sensor gets covered with glass protector then it started to malfunctioning.
remove the glass from sensor it'll work fine.

I have the same issue. It's because some of the Galaxy A series  phones don't have a physical proximity sensor. If you dial *#0*# or *#77692*# you can see "virtual proximity sensor" that doesn't work properly. Maybe they use the lux sensor and touchpad instead of the proximity sensor.

 

I went to several Samsung service centres to resolve my but there was no solution. As they said this is the design and there is nothing they can do about it. I think Samsung should discontinue or modify this product.
