I have galaxy a72 for past 3 year now. It's has been running quite seamlessly so far. But after a security patch update I'm noticing that it's getting quite hot even if I'm using it for 10 mins and my room temperature is 28-30 degrees only. Does someone else facing the same issue? Anyone has some solution plz help 🙏🏻

Google this issue and see if it is known issue.
If it is known then either you can downgrade your os version or look for workaround.
If not known then it is specific to your phone and it is time to upgrade :)

I have been searching a solution on Google for past 6,7 days now but don't find any concrete solution unfortunately. I was thinking if factory reset might solve the issue or not?

Give it a try and see if it works.

The device may have some applications that cause your device to heat up. Nothing else

It happened after an update, not sure if some app is making my cell hot or is it some software issues. Apparently Samsung phones are experiencing issues like these after an update

Let's say if there is a software problem then it will be fixed in the next update. Can I ask one thing?

If your Galaxy A72 is overheating after a recent security patch update, here are some solutions you can try:

1. Restart Your Phone: A simple restart can sometimes resolve post-update issues.

2. Check for Background Apps: Too many apps running in the background can cause overheating. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery > Background usage limits and restrict apps that are not needed.

3. Clear Cache Partition: Overheating can happen due to corrupted cache files after an update. You can clear the cache partition by:

Turn off your phone.

Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button until the Samsung logo appears.

Use the volume buttons to scroll to "Wipe cache partition" and press the Power button to select it.

Once done, select "Reboot system now."

4. Update All Apps: Outdated apps might cause system conflicts. Update them via the Google Play Store.

5. Check for Another Update: Sometimes, new updates fix issues caused by earlier patches. Check for any additional software updates in Settings > Software update.

6. Reduce Heavy Usage: Temporarily avoid using high-performance apps or gaming to see if that reduces the heat.

7. Safe Mode: Boot into Safe Mode to see if a third-party app is causing the issue. If your phone doesn’t overheat in Safe Mode, it’s likely due to an app.

8. Factory Reset: If none of the above works, a factory reset can resolve the issue, but back up your data first.

If the problem persists, it might be worth contacting Samsung support.
