TheGalaxy A70is Samsung’s latest smartphone to take advantage of new features brought over by theOne UI 2.5firmware update. Not to be outdone by theGalaxy A50swhichreceived the same updatea couple of days ago, the Galaxy A70 is now beginning its One UI 2.5 journey in Europe, though availability is limited to Ukraine.
More specifically, the One UI 2.5 firmware update appears to be rolling out only for the Galaxy A70 variant that’s being sold in Ukraine by mobile network operator Kyivstar. The update weighs 1421 MB, it carries firmware version A705FNXXU5CTK4, and it includes the November 2020 security patch. Assuming that the initial rollout in Ukraine goes without a hitch then availability should soon expand into additional markets across Europe.
The previous One UI 2.0 update for the Galaxy A70 also debuted in Ukraine roughly eight months ago before it became available in more regions. One UI 2.5 should follow a similar path.
New Wi-Fi, Always On Display, Samsung Keyboard features and more
If you’ve been keeping up to date with the One UI 2.5 update then you already have a good idea of what new features to expect. But if you’re a Galaxy A70 owner and this is the first time you hear about it then One UI 2.5 introduces new Samsung Keyboard features, particularly for Split Keyboard mode in landscape, as well as improvements to YouTube search.
In addition, Bitmoji stickers are now supported on Always On Display, and Messages has received new SOS location sharing features. Meanwhile, Galaxy A70 users will now have access to new information when connecting to Wi-Fi networks, particularly in regards to the quality of the connection. The latest update is also making it easier for users to request Wi-Fi passwords.
You can update One UI 2.5 for the Galaxy A70 in Ukraine by tapping the notification once it arrives on your phone or by opening Settings, accessing Software updates, and tapping Download and install.
