I have been using my Samsung A73 5G normally, but yesterday I noticed that the main speaker at the bottom of the phone is not working. At first, I thought it might be a temporary issue, so I tested it using the diagnostic code *#0*#. However, the issue is still present, and there is no sound coming from the bottom speaker at all. The earpiece/front speaker is working normally, but the main loudspeaker does not produce any sound. What should I do next to fix this issue?

Thank you for sharing the details regarding your Galaxy A73 5G.

We understand that the main (bottom) speaker is not producing sound while the earpiece is working normally. Since you have already tested using the diagnostic code, kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that the device is not connected to any Bluetooth audio devices
  2. Check if the sound issue occurs across all apps (media, calls on speaker, notifications)
  3. Restart the device and test again
  4. Remove any protective case and ensure the speaker grill is clean and not blocked by dust or debris
  5. Test the device in Safe Mode to check if the issue is caused by a third-party application
  6. Make sure your device software is updated to the latest version
  7. If the issue persists after performing the above steps, this may indicate a hardware-related issue with the speaker.
