The now bar on my phone (A25) has a white background while for other phones the now bar is transparent
Is it because my phone is a midranger or is it a glitch

It's likely not a glitch, but rather a characteristic of how the "Now bar" is implemented on your Samsung A25, especially with the version of One UI it's running (likely One UI 6 or 7, as the A25 shipped with Android 14/One UI 6 and is upgradable to Android 15/One UI 7).
Here's why:
* One UI Implementation: Samsung's "Now bar" (which functions similarly to Apple's Live Activities/Dynamic Island, showing contextual information on the lock screen or status bar) is a specific feature within One UI. Its appearance and customization options can vary.
* One UI 7 (and potentially earlier versions on A-series phones): While One UI 7 introduces more customization, the "Now bar" itself might not offer full transparency options for its background on the A25. Some users on Reddit and other forums for A-series devices (like the A35, A54, A55, which are similar mid-range phones) have also noted the lack of complete transparency for the Now bar, often describing it as a "black block" that can't be made lighter or more transparent. This suggests it's a design choice, not a defect.
* Mid-range vs. Flagship: While flagship phones often get more advanced customization options and potentially more refined UI elements, a transparent navigation or status bar isn't exclusively a high-end feature. However, the specific implementation of the "Now bar" on the A25 might be designed with a solid background.
* App-dependent transparency: The system bars (status bar, navigation bar) can sometimes be transparent or translucent depending on the app you're using, especially with newer Android versions that push for "edge-to-edge" displays. However, this is distinct from the "Now bar" itself, which is a Samsung One UI feature.
In summary: It's highly probable that the white background of your Now bar is a default design characteristic for the Samsung A25 with its current One UI version, rather than a glitch. While full transparency might not be an option directly, Samsung often provides customization through their "Good Lock" app, but even there, complete transparency for the Now bar has been a user request rather than a fully implemented feature.
