Until Samsung fixes the issue, you have to use the 16 MP option. Or some other camera app like Open Camera from Play Store.

- Try to clear the cache Camera App. Setting > Apps > Select Camera App > Tap Storage > Clear DataTry to clear the cache Camera App. Setting > Apps > Select Camera App > Tap Storage > Clear cache.

- Try to re-boot the phone. (Soft re-boot / force restart)
Force restart by pressing and holding the Volume down and Power key for 7 to 10 seconds.

- Try to run Safe Mode on your phone, follow these steps:
Power off the phone.
Power on the phone. The Galaxy logo displays.
When the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the volume down button.
'Safe Mode' is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen.
To exit Safe Mode, restart the phone. When it reboots, it will no longer be in Safe Mode.

Certain downloaded apps can make your phone or tablet freeze, crash, or lag. Some apps can even affect camera functionality, cause audio issues, and affect network connectivity.

Using Safe mode disables all downloaded apps and loads only the original software that came with your phone or tablet, allowing you to determine if the issue is caused by an app or with the phone or tablet.

If the issues do not appear while in Safe mode, the problem is caused by a downloaded app, and it should be uninstalled.
