Is it me or is anyone with a Samsung M14 5G experience network issues suchs as slow 4G network and not connecting to 5G. Can someone tell me what's really is the cause to this problem and how to fix it because I've done everything solution possible such as reset mobile settings, reboot phone, airplane mode, change network operations, phones updated to latest version but nothing. Hi
You're not alone in experiencing network issues with the Samsung Galaxy M14 5G. Many users have reported similar problems, including slow 4G speeds and difficulty connecting to 5G networks, even in areas with strong coverage.

Possible Causes

1. Software Bugs: Some users have observed that after software updates, such as One UI 6, network performance can degrade. This may be due to bugs or compatibility issues introduced in the update.

2. Network Switching Issues: The M14 5G may struggle with seamless switching between 5G and 4G networks, especially in areas with inconsistent coverage. This can lead to slower speeds and connectivity problems.

3. Hardware Limitations: While the Exynos 1330 chipset supports 5G, it may not perform as well as higher-end processors in real-world conditions, particularly in areas with weak signal strength.

4. Carrier-Specific Issues: Some carriers may have network configurations or restrictions that affect the M14 5G's performance. It's advisable to check with your carrier to ensure there are no such issues.

Recommended Solutions

1. Adjust Network Mode:

Navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode.

Select 5G/4G/3G/2G (auto connect).

If issues persist, consider switching to 4G/3G/2G (auto connect) to see if stability improves.

2. Reset Network Settings:

Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

This will reset Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings, which can resolve many connectivity issues.

3. Check for Software Updates:

Ensure your device is running the latest software.

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements.

4. Test with a Different SIM Card:

Insert a different SIM card into your M14 5G to determine if the issue is SIM-related.

If the problem persists, it may be device-related.

5. Contact Carrier Support:

Reach out to your carrier to confirm that your plan supports 5G and that there are no network issues affecting your device.

6. Consider a Factory Reset:

As a last resort, perform a factory reset.

Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.

This will erase all data on your device, so ensure you back up important information first.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, it may be worth consulting Samsung support or visiting a service center for further assistance.

For the first mode. It doesn't have the option auto connect. Its only set to 1 preferred mode of connection. How do I change that?

Okay
Heres a few options that may help
Option 1: Use the Testing Menu (Hidden Settings)

1. Open the Phone app.

2. Dial: *#*#4636#*#* → This opens the Testing Menu.

3. Tap Phone Information.

4. Scroll down to Set preferred network type.

5. Choose LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) or 5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto) if available.

6. Reboot your phone.

> ⚠️ On some M14 models, this menu may not allow 5G auto-switching if the firmware restricts it.

---

Option 2: Use Samsung’s “Smart Network Switch” (if available)

1. Go to Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks.

2. Look for “Switch to mobile data automatically” or “Smart Network Switch”.

3. Enable it so the phone can switch between LTE and 5G for better stability.

---

Option 3: Carrier App / Update Firmware

Some carriers lock the M14 to a single preferred network mode.

Updating carrier settings (sometimes via Samsung’s Software Update → Download Carrier Settings) can unlock auto-switching.

If your M14 still won’t show 5G automatically, your carrier’s SIM/profile or firmware version may limit 5G connectivity.

In that case, updating the carrier settings or contacting your carrier for a 5G-compatible profile can fix it.

Here is the manual network configuration settings

🛠️ Additional Troubleshooting Steps

Network Mode: Ensure your device is set to the appropriate network mode. Navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode and select 5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto connect).

SIM Card: Test your SIM card in another device to rule out SIM-related issues.

Software Update: Ensure your device's software is up to date by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Network Reset: Perform a network settings reset by going to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.
