My dual whatsapp is not working

Hi,

Since yesterday ,after accepting some new terms and conditions of Samsung, the dual whatsapp folder is missing and so not able to see the the videos and photos.

Even new photo, docs or videos cannot be downloaded in the chat of the dual whatsapp.

any idea how to fix this?

I had the same issue. I backed up the dualapp account to Google drive, uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. Now works okay and I can see both folders in my gallery again.

Yes. It happened with me today on S21 Ultra. I raised issue with Samsung support team through live chat. They told me to uninstall and reinstall the dual whatsapp by taking proper back up, etc. This had solved the issue for few minutes only. Later again, folders related to dual whatsapp were not showing in gallery.

This seems to be an issue with the latest update from Whats App.

For now, please try restarting your device to see if it helps resolve the issue.

Restarting the phone didnt solve this issue. In other thread, samsung specialist advised that new update from whatsapp will solve this. However, my WhatsApp had been updated recently but issue of dual whatsapp didn't get solve. And this seems to be an issue with Samsung devices only. Because other brand's phone are not facing the same.

Hi, 

The issue caused in Dual WhatsApp as recently WhatsApp upgraded its version and it changed the file path where all media files are to be saved.

Due to this change, Dual Messenger didn't sync media saved at new path and so this is causing problem.

Samsung is trying to solve the problem quickly by contacting WhatsApp team.
