I recently swapped out my usb port on my phone because it got damaged and I kept getting the moisture detected warning. After I the repair shop replaced my usb port about a week later I noticed that the bottom microphone stopped working. I tried everything, factory reset tested it and no sound gets picked up when I record. Could it be that the mic is not compatible or is it a software glitch. And how would I know if the repair shop used an original samsung usb port? Has this happened to any of you?

Which device is it ?, as there has been an software issue in the s series which keeps the device from fast charging and showing moisture detected on some device which gets fixed on it's own or from the next software ubdate

No, I dropped it in the sand and then I plugged it in without properly cleaning it out and then the port got damaged and I had to replace the whole charging port board bc the moisture detected warning kept popping up. After I got it replaced the moisture waring wasn't showing anymore but I noticed now that my bottom microphone doesn't work

It is also possible to change the mic only also however best option would be to change the board as they are not quit expensive

You see, I don't know if the repair shop used an original samsung board or a **bleep** one. Do you think I should risk buying an original and replace it?
