January is here and like always Samsung has started pushing latest security patch updates for A50 series outside India. According to reports users of the latter from Russia shared screenshots supporting the above fact.
And regarding the issue of fingerprint registration,
The new algorithm strictly prohibits registration of fingerprints with screen protectors applied.
There is not a single issue after removing the screen protector. And I would rather praise the faster and more accurate recognition process after the December update.
Anyways A50 users can expect the January update to be available in India very soon.
And one more good news is that development of One UI 2.0 and Android 10 has been started for A50 and A40(according to reports by SAMMOBILE)
So maybe updates would be available for A50 series before the scheduled time (April 2020).
A30 is going to be the first phone in the A series to get the One UI 2.0 and Android 10 update. It has already received the wi-fi certification. Maybe late January or February.
