Issue with Link to Windows

I'm unable to cast the phone screen on my P.C even though I have both the latest Windows version and Android version.I've allowed all required permissions, am logged in the same Microsoft account from both the systems,using the same wifi connection and have the Phone companion app on.Infact notifications,messages,photos are all visible on my p.c.But when it comes to phone screen,it always says "Something Happened.We're having trouble connecting at the moment.Wait a bit,then try again". BUT IT NEVER WORKS.Also there's an Error code: 42 showing below the above message.

Any clue what's the issue here?

Well then it wouldn't have worked at all.right?
Only phone screen casting isn't working.Anyway, my phone model is mentioned in the list of the devices that support both Link to windows and Phone screen.
