Samsung continues to disappoint me and many other South African. What is happening does not encourage one to go out and buy their flagship device. Seeing that S22 which is last year's flagship device is completely forgotten makes one to question Samsung's commitment to their loyal customers.

Personally I'm using A73 which is an upper midrange phone but it seems like it is also forgotten completely. The first One UI6 in some region on A73 came on the 22 of November and tomorrow it will be exactly a month since other's have received their updates. I have also seen that some region has started receiving December security patch while I'm stuck on August 1 security patch.

I have seen some people on the platform using other methods in order to receive the latest updates. But do we really have to go through that while we are buying these phones with our hard earned money like those regions that are being given first preference.

Last time I check Samsung was the most used brand in South Africa when it comes to cellphones but it seems like this count for nothing. I know we don't have buying power like the US, India and some European countries but this should count for something. Even if majority of us are not buying flagship devices.

WE DESERVE BETTER.

This is also what I'm upset about. I am also waiting. 2022 Samsung Top Models of Mid-range A53, A73 & Flagships haven't received Android 14 but all the Mid-ranges of this year has and some of 2022 Mid-ranges

Samsung will at the end lose most of their loyal customers. One shouldn't have to resort to flashing or changing CSC to receive the updates. And not everyone is tech savvy to be able to do that.

Another thing, it is not about updates only but Goodlock too.

Yeah we all need to receive the update at the same time

That's true. If the update is out, we should all be getting it at the same time.

Exactly why does everyone on IOS get the update at the same time but with Android, different regions get it at different times??? What's different with IOS that makes them update all their phones everywhere at the same time?

I think it is because on Android, different regions have different features specific to that region. I noticed that when i flashed Indian ROM, Indian ROM has a lot more features compared to our region yet they get updates way faster than our region.

So our software updates take long because they busy removing features?? Yho nah, that's unfair. First, we can't get goodlock and now this

Some features are due to legislations in different countries just like call recording feature which is prohibited in South Africa but not in India
