Galaxy A
Hi
The Samsung Galaxy A05 unfortunately does not come with a built-in screen recorder (unlike higher Galaxy series such as the A3x, A5x, S, and Note series). But you still have a few good options:
1. Use Game Launcher (Samsung feature)
Even though the A05 has no native recorder in the quick panel, Samsung’s Game Launcher can record apps and games:
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Game Launcher and turn it on.
Add the app you want to record inside Game Launcher.
Open the app from Game Launcher → Tap the Game Tools (floating icon) → You’ll see a Record option.
This works for games and some apps, but not the whole system (like the home screen).
---
2. Install a Screen Recording App (Free & Safe)
Since the A05 doesn’t have the feature built-in, you can use apps from the Play Store:
AZ Screen Recorder (popular, no watermark, free version is enough)
XRecorder by InShot
Mobizen Screen Recorder
After installing:
Open the app → Grant permissions (draw over apps, microphone, etc.) → Start recording from the floating button.
---
3. Use Google Play Games (for gameplay recording)
If you only need recording for games:
Open Google Play Games → Select your game → Tap Record gameplay.
It records your game with optional microphone audio.
Alternatively you can add a shortcut tile from the quick settings that can make your phone feel it has a built in screen recorder
Here’s how to do it:
---
📌 Step 1: Install a Recorder
Go to Play Store → Install AZ Screen Recorder (recommended) or XRecorder.
Open the app once and allow all permissions (draw over apps, microphone, storage).
---
📌 Step 2: Add Recorder Tile to Quick Settings
1. Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel.
2. Tap the three dots (⋮) menu at the top right → Select Edit buttons (or “Button order”).
3. Scroll down — you should see your screen recorder app icon in the “Available buttons” section.
4. Drag the recorder icon up into the active Quick Settings area.
5. Tap Done / Save.
---
📌 Step 3: Record Easily
Now, whenever you want to record → Just swipe down → Tap the Recorder tile → It starts recording like a built-in feature.
---
⚡ Bonus: You can even customize resolution, frame rate, and whether it records internal audio or microphone from the app’s settings.
