Hi Samsung.

Why Hiya service and Smart call app are installed on my phone, visible in app list but they are 0 B in size. Are this services discontinued or my phone is acting up?

Galaxy AThank you for contacting Samsung Gulf Electronics.
We understand that the Hiya and Smart Call apps on your Galaxy A device appear as 0 B in size and that Caller ID and spam protection options are no longer visible in the Phone app.
Please note the following:
- Hiya / Smart Call services – These apps are integrated features for spam detection and caller identification. In some regions or One UI updates, these services may be moved, disabled, or merged into the system, which can make them appear as 0 B in the app list.
- Caller ID & Spam Protection – If these options have vanished, ensure your Phone app is updated and that your Samsung account is signed in. Also, verify in:
Settings > Apps > Phone > Permissions, that the necessary permissions are enabled. - Software update – Make sure your device is running the latest One UI version:
Settings > Software update > Download and install
