Go to Settings > Biometrics & Security > other security settings > clear credentials ...put ur lockscreen password...then the credential storage will be cleared so that the device will become 70% more faster than before...based in usage credentials will be coming...so u have to clear to regularly every day/ when ever u feel that the device is a bit laggy...this don't delete ur data on the device...trust me...its the truth...please give the comments after doing this regarding the speed of Samsung Devices...well,I checked it on Samsung Galaxy A7 2018...please refer screen shot...

u guys even make these 3 things from 1x to 0.5x to make ur Samsung even faster...under developer options...

Anyway, there r some more options in developer options to improve performance, try these :-
1) Force GPU rendering>enable it
2) enable 4x MSAA (multi sampling anti-aliasing)>enable it
3) set gpu renderer>choose the second option named "OpenGL (SKIA)"

*increasing animation speed doesn't make ur phone faster, it's just animation
