Hi everyone.  When I tried to update the Google photos app the phone automatically restarted . I tried to install it on the memory card. I have several other apps installed on the memory card which are functioning as intended. But Google photos frozed and had to install it back to the phone memory. Any particular reason as to why it only happened to the "Google photos" apps? And why it can't be installed on my memory card. Thank you in advance for any advices/tips. :)

If you reinstalled the app, then its the same thing as clearing data though. This might be just Google expecting your sd card to have higher reading/ writing speeds. I tried installing the app on my sd card and it worked like normal.

Which sd card do u have?

@SadeshMagic unfortunately the issue is still there. Seems like there is an issue with the memory card possibly right? As you have said above the read/write speed must be not enough

Possible, i dont think that app is meant to be installed in the sd card
