Bro, if you turn this option on, then it will remove all kind of animation effects from your device..like swiping up/down pages, opening and closing of apps,dropping down notification panel and so on.. Turn it on and see the difference..your phone will become fast and snappy..but while opening dp of WhatsApp you will notice flickering of dp icons.
Try it, you will clearly make it out that what's the role of animations..
