  • Hello, I recently bought a Galaxy A36, but I noticed that the battery heats up quickly and the consumption seems higher than expected.

🔹 With normal usage (mainly Telegram, WhatsApp, and Samsung Internet), the phone drains about 10–11% per hour.
🔹 The device temperature easily rises above 35°C, even in a cool room with air conditioning.
🔹 Power Saving mode is enabled, but the battery drain is still noticeable.

Is this normal for the Galaxy A36, or should I consider a software/hardware check under warranty?
    Thanks for your support 🙏

Hi 👋
Congrats on your new Galaxy A36! A bit of warmth during use is normal, but what you describe (10–11% drain per hour and 35 °C+ even with light apps + Power Saving on) does sound higher than expected.

A few things you can try before visiting service:

Update software & apps → Check for the latest system update and Galaxy Store/Play Store updates.

Check battery stats → Settings → Battery → Battery usage → see if any app is consuming unusually high power in the background.

Reset app preferences → Sometimes background processes misbehave; resetting can help.

Wipe cache partition (via Recovery Mode) → clears leftover system files that may cause drain.

Avoid heavy charging/usage together (e.g., gaming while charging can push temps up).

If after this, the phone still loses 10%+ per hour on light usage, it’s not normal. In that case, I’d suggest visiting a Samsung Service Center while your device is under warranty, they can run a full hardware/software diagnostic to rule out a battery or board issue.

Rahul is absolutely right. You can follow the steps he has advised.

In my opinion, since yous phone is new, so it's algorithm usually takes some time to understand your usage pattern and then it will start optimising. You can be patient for few more days and observe.

Also, if you have performed any software update, then wiping cache partition by booting device into recovery mode should solve the problem.

Good luck 👍
