If it is charging its normal as electricity makes phones hotter. Also, since the a05 is pretty cheap, the chip is less powerfull and can run hotter.

I understand, that sounds really frustrating 😔🔥. A Galaxy A05s shouldn’t normally overheat to the point where apps won’t open, even while charging. Let’s go step by step:
🔍 Possible Causes
1. Background apps or heavy processes – Too many apps running or a rogue app consuming resources.
2. Poor charging conditions – Using a non-original charger/cable or charging in a hot environment.
3. Software issues – Bugs in the firmware or outdated software.
4. Battery health – A failing battery can overheat.
5. Hardware fault – If none of the above, it may be a hardware/board issue.
---
✅ Things You Can Try
1. Close background apps:
Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Memory > Clean now.
2. Check battery usage:
Settings > Battery → see which app is draining most power. Uninstall or restrict the culprit.
3. Update software:
Make sure your phone is on the latest Android & One UI version.
4. Safe Mode test:
Hold the power button, then long-press Power Off → choose Safe Mode.
If it stays cool in Safe Mode, a third-party app is the problem.
5. Charging habits:
Use the original Samsung charger.
Don’t use the phone heavily (gaming, video calls) while charging.
Remove the phone case while charging.
6. Wipe cache partition (doesn’t delete personal data):
Power off phone → hold Power + Volume Up until logo → release → use volume keys to select Wipe cache partition.
7. Factory reset (last software option):
Backup your data first → Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.
---
⚠️ When to Get it Checked
If your A05s still overheats badly even after a factory reset and Safe Mode test, it may be a battery or motherboard issue. In that case, you should take it to a Samsung Service Center.
👉 Question: Does your phone get hot even when it’s just idle/charging, or only when you’re using apps like games and videos? That will help me narrow it down.
