Since you've already tried removing the old fingerprint and adding a new one without success try the steps shown below:

Hardware-Related Issues
1. *Clean the fingerprint sensor*: Dirt, dust, or moisture might be interfering with the sensor. Gently wipe the sensor with a soft cloth.
2. *Inspect the sensor for damage*: Check if the sensor is damaged or scratched. If damaged, you may need to visit a Samsung authorized service center.

Software-Related Issues
1. *Restart your device*: Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve the issue.
2. *Update your device's software*: Ensure you're running the latest software. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
3. *Reset fingerprint settings*: Go to Settings > Lock screen > Fingerprint > Reset fingerprint data.

Advanced Troubleshooting
1. *Boot your device in Safe Mode*: This will disable all third-party apps. If the fingerprint sensor works in Safe Mode, a third-party app might be causing the issue.
2. *Perform a factory reset*: This will erase all data, so be sure to backup your important files before doing so.

Additional Tips
1. *Ensure your fingers are clean and dry*: Moisture or dirt on your fingers can interfere with the fingerprint sensor.
2. *Use the correct fingerprint registration method*: Ensure you're registering your fingerprint correctly. Go to Settings > Lock screen > Fingerprint > Add fingerprint.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem with your device's fingerprint sensor. You may want to visit a Samsung authorized service center for further assistance.
