Before this update, my Samsung Galaxy A73 display was perfectly fine with no green, pink, or any type of vertical line. I have already suffered two times because of Samsung’s major software updates: After the first major update, a green line appeared on my display. I had to pay around ₹8,500+ for screen replacement. After the second major update, a pink line appeared, and again I had to bear the screen replacement cost. This clearly means Samsung’s software updates are damaging AMOLED panels. It is not a user’s fault — it is a manufacturing and calibration defect from Samsung's side. Now Samsung has pushed One UI 8 / Android 16 for my device. I am afraid to update because Samsung has already damaged my screen twice in the past with major updates. If Samsung cannot ensure that the update is safe for AMOLED displays, then Samsung should stop forcing these updates on users. I am recording and saving full display proof (white/black/grey test) BEFORE updating, so that if even one single line appears AFTER the update, it will be clear evidence that the problem is caused by Samsung’s update. Samsung needs to accept this issue and take responsibility, instead of making users pay for screen replacements again and again. A phone is not a disposable item. And a customer should not be punished for installing the company’s official update. If any display line appears after this update, I will expect a FREE SCREEN REPLACEMENT under Customer Service / Warranty / Goodwill Program — WITHOUT any denial. Because: The device is fine now. The issue arises ONLY AFTER Samsung updates. Therefore, the responsibility is Samsung’s — not the customer’s.
