not new look back the phones of 2000 to 2007 phone before the launch of android . they do have the mechinal rotating parts but the thing was we have to rotate manually. I remember my father used to have a Samsung phone that was foldable however it was small . another example was the Sony ercision edition it does have a rotating parts
