Guys, let us make this community more aware about the software phases and development of a software in simple terms.

Let us understand about ongoing debate of Pie Upgrade on Samsung devises. Here we go. Samsung itself in an event announced "Beta" programme of Android Pie operating system. Which means still they are working on it, it's not for all consumers but available to developer fraternity.

A software usually went through following stages:
Stage 1: Alpha Phase, in which which software is designed initially according to specifications of the device.

Stage 2: Beta Phase, in which mainly testing by developers is included with the software prepared in stage 1.

Stage 3: Stable Release, this is the final end user software which usually company releases after stage 1 and 2 implicated successfully.

Now let us understand in simple terms, if we want to grow a plant, alpha phase is called a seed, beta phase is called the care and treatment to be given to that plant to grow it in a proper manner and the the final stage or stable phase of an operating system is for end users to use without any bug is called fruit we got.

So, let us eliminate the confusion going around regarding the upgrade of Pie Beta programme.

I hope this will help you to understand the Pie upgrade which is in Beta stage right now.

I disagree. One UI beta is not just for the development community bro. It is for the actual users of the phones. Users who are interested and willing to use a beta version can participate and try out the new software and features first.

Though a good theoretical explanation, I disagree with everything that you've written related to Pie beta. Reasons already given by @sagesummer

@sagesummer: it's a simple explanation not in correlation with OneUI but it's for pie beta.

but you have specified it in the last line, this is an ambiguous information. Moreover you tried but information that you tried to compile is little bit off the track.

good job though

Beta is not just for Developers, it's main focus is to stabilize the software by allowing small bunch of users to test, try and experience the software so that before final release bugs can be fixed.
