When I press the home button, Gemini doesn't appear as the default assistant, and I can't select it or any other app. Only Google Assistant appears. How can I switch to Gemini?
Download/Update and open Google Gemini, finish setup, then go to Device Settings → Apps → Default apps → Digital assistant app and select it. If it doesn't appear and only Google Assistant shows, it's not enabled for your device/region yet.

To use Google Gemini as your default assistant when pressing the Home button, please try the following steps: • First, make sure Google Gemini app is installed and fully set up on your device. • Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Digital assistant app. • Select Google Gemini as your default assistant.
If Gemini does not appear in the list and only Google Assistant is shown, this means the feature is currently not enabled for your device software configuration or region for Home button activation.
In this case, Gemini may still work through other triggers (such as the side/power button or voice command), but cannot yet be assigned to the Home button.
