The last time I faced this issue with my A50 was when I forgot my phone in my car's front cabin. It sat in the air-conditioned cabin for a long time, and I encountered a moisture issue. I went to a repair shop, and the technician simply opened the phone and applied some heat to the charging strip. After that, it worked fine. You may need to visit a repair shop as well.

In the second part of your question, I think it's relevant to the first part. Maybe after the moisture dried, some circuits or charging ports got rusty.

Then maybe this issue is with the charging cable or might be with the charger itself. Try to check with a new cable and charger. Most probably it seems to be a cable issue. I will update here when it is solved.

Change the charger, but if the same cable is still used, then it will clarify which item is faulty.
