may be i am wrong because i never used a12, but google Chromecast will be better option for you. you will get it in the same price of a branded HDMI cable

Miracast should support all devices. i was used Miracast with my note 4. it was working perfectly

but it's sure google Chromecast can support all devices. i am still using that and connecting i pad, note 4 , Huawei note 20 ultra and laptop
but we need install google home applicantion
