Hi All.
I have a Galaxy A32 4G and on Saturday eventually got notified via my phone's update that Android 12 was ready to download.
Since then I have found that my battery is draining much faster than usual.
I checked my battery usage which is showing a few apps that are using quite a lot of battery even though I put those apps into deep sleep after installing the update.
I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing increased battery usage and if anyone maybe has some advice for me on this issue?
After the update I went through all my settings, etc to make sure it's all still the same and as said, apps in deep sleep are draining my battery now, but before the update this was not the case.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi CindyL

Please use the steps below

Kindly optimize your device.

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Device Maintenance.

4. Tap Optimize now.

If the issue persists, please perform a soft reset of your device.

Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds. The device may take a screenshot, however keep holding the buttons for a few more seconds.

I'm using a 4G variant as well and i also notice an obvious drain. With mobile gaming, even just streaming or watching movies from internal storage. Something isn't right lol

After the update i mean. If you have restricted background data usage for most apps except the ones that need it...disable auto update and autosync in google/samsung apps. Lastly is the 90hz screen mode, that drains battery as well.

In retrospect...i think the 5000mah battery is as great as can be expected, but the high end display + the slightly underpowered chip sets can be more taxing, my potato Samsung A11 from 2019 has the smaller battery and a non-amoled display and it showed slightly better battery life.

I spend about 8 to 10 hours on power hungry games lol, but with total amoled blackout, hibernating apps, etc etc. I think it's a bit imbalanced Screenshot_20220613-142653_One UI Home_21474_1655123408.jpg
