I recently ported from Jio to Airtel. After 5 days, the port was successful

calls, SMS, and 4G data all work fine. But I can’t get Airtel 5G on my Samsung Galaxy A33 5G.

Details: My plan is ₹349 (1.5 GB/day) which shows “5G Unlimited Data” in the Airtel Thanks app.

The Airtel app also shows 5G handset and 5G software. I live in a confirmed Airtel 5G coverage area.

If I put my Airtel SIM into a Vivo phone, 5G works immediately. On my A33, in Service Mode (*#0011#), it always shows EN-DC: Inactive (so it stays on LTE).

What I’ve already tried:

Updated to the latest Samsung software Reset network settings Rebooted multiple times Tried indoors/outdoors in 5G areas Airtel SIM is definitely fine since it works in another 5G phone

So basically: SIM Plan Area Phone model is 5G capable But A33 still won’t latch onto Airtel 5G

I also can’t get into recovery mode with the usual Volume Up + Power combo to wipe cache partition.

At this point it looks like a Samsung carrier configuration issue.

Has anyone else with a Galaxy A33 5G on Airtel faced this? Any fix apart from going to a Samsung service center and asking them to reflash carrier settings?

Since you have tried logical steps and are clueless I feel if you can delete APN settings Airtel will install new settings which may help you to latch on to Airtel 5G. Option 1 - Visit Airtel gallery. Ask them to send fresh configuration settings. Option 2 - Reset your phone to factory setting.
