A71 Screen On Time - Very Less

Hi Guys,

I am new to Samsung communities, I recently bought (7 Days ago) A71. My average usage on phone like WhatsApp, Youtube, Instagram and little bit of Image editing. And I found that my phone drain the battery too fast my SOT is 4 hr 30 min. I think its too low than my Poco F1 (Still after 2 Years It's SOT is more than 4 Hours). So, I am little frustrated Am I become fool that I buy the A71. Because on ads and Youtube video I see its SOT is more than 7 Hours. I also saw the battery drain test which also show the 7 to 8 hours of SOT.

Please suggest me what to do?

Send the SS of device care to know which app is consuming more.. I'm guessing Google..

the Google play services running in background all the time so i forced stopped it and disabled the background activity in battery

I'm talking about Google app and you can't turnoff Google play services background activity.. All apps needs it to run.. There is no such option for Google play services to force stop, or disable background activity...

It takes time to learn your usage patterns and will adjust battery according to needs.

one of the main reasons is even you close apps but they uses ur battery and running in background unnecessary, see image and read the statement.
2nd due to huge notification enable.
for e.g ; Google has huge notification which we don't need at all see image just scroll down image and check how many notification it does have.
So do some more settings to save more battery, which consume unnecessarily.

1. Connection>more connections settings> disable nearby device settings

2. Location>improve accuracy >disable
A. Wifi scanning
B. Bluetooth scanning .

besides above do some more settings to save more battery life and observe for next 1-2 days definitely it will give you a noticeable difference

3. Long press on each app specially 3rd party(LIKE FACEBOOK, INSTA,YOUTUBE) and rarely used and ON "GOOGLE APP" as well then click on>app info> then go to these 3 options below on by one

A. Mobile data> allow background data usage>off

B. Battery >allow background activity >off

C. Notification >disable unnecessary notifications like promotional and unnecessary reminder notifications.

4. Device care>battery >power mode>select "optimised" and "adaptive power saving".

And then click on "app power management >
And enable these 2 options.
A. Adaptive battery
B. Put Unused Apps to Sleep.

5. Go to settings >apps>search "weather" >click on settings icon right side > change "auto refresh" settings as per your requirements and disable some unnecessary reminder.

6. If you use Facebook frequently then disable "auto play video"
And if you are mostly uses mobile on wifi connection then also disable "auto play videos" in YouTube.
