A71 - Adopted child of Samsung in India

It seems like A71 is true adopted son which does not get much attention from parents.

India region

 Let's take a look on last 3 updates for A71 in India.

In India A71 got last security update in October month.

October – got October patch

 

again October – bug fixes

 and November – bug fixes, but on October patch.

Other region

A71 in every other region is getting security updates on time.

 Let's take a look on last 3 updates for A71 in other region.

In Hongkong and Taiwan A71 got security update this month.

October – got Oct ober patch

December – got Nov ember patch

February – got Feb ruary patch.

In Slovakia, Croatia T-Mobile and other regions T-Mobile A71 got last security patch in January month.

 

October – got October patch

 

December – got November patch

 

January - got January patch.

It's clear that A71 is neglected only in India. Every other region is getting update on time. 

I am not sure of the reason. I can only speculate.

Only 2 comes into my mind.

1. Samsung is pleasing angry M series users.

2. One UI is not optimised for Snapdragon processor.

In both cases Samsung is going to loose market share in India.

And that is clear with the S20 and S21 sales in India.

Hello the reasons you mention are not quite the true one because we live here in Mauritania. We are still running on the November 01, 2020 patch. Not in India alone.

October comes before November bro. So we are behind you not ahead. You need to find out which region update cycle your country follows. I cannot find your country for model A715F.

Have to admit that you did lots of research. I had a little conversation with the Samsung developer's site. They assured me there will be an update this month. My main concern was the security patch but they assure me UI3.0 on the way. They did not clarify the update type though.
