I have Galaxy A50 and VivoS1, VivoS1 support 1080p in YouTube but A50 still stuck on 480p both phones are run on same network JIO !!!

Why Samsung ?
But I can still watch 4k videos with NewPipe App its similar to YouTube and far better then it !!!

So what does it mean, what is the reason ?

On my A71 YouTube plays 480p video on mobile data. But plays 1080 on wifi and unmetered mobile hotspot.

thank you so much Bro !!! 👍👍👍
After reading your comment, I have switched my wifi to the unmetered connection and than its support 1080p on YouTube but not with mobile data. But earlier there was no need to change the settings so why now ?

Youtube has restricted 1080p video playback so that network congestion will not happen.
You can also watch YouTube video in 1080p in mobile browser.

if u are using wifi for youtube than go to connection settings of wifi, than select ur wifi and in advance, select ur connection as unmettered than check youtube. it will work. befor ur post in my a51 that also show only in 480p but after change this its now showing 1080p. ur phone also supported to 1080p, u just need to do this settings.
