A42 Not Charging via USB

Hi all, 

Hoping someone can help. My new A42 will not charge via the USB being plugged into my laptop or car. 

At first is shows the lightening symbol over the battery symbol. Then is just goes away.  And when it does look like it is charging...it says it will take 3+ hours to charge from 65 to 100%.

The cord is the correct cord. 

Any suggestions?
