Hi
You’re saying your Galaxy A34 running One UI 8 (Android 16) has the new Lock Screen Clock Style/Adapter feature, but it’s not working properly — let’s troubleshoot that step by step:
---
🧩 1. Check If It’s a Known Bug
Right now (as of October 2025), several users on One UI 8 beta and initial rollouts — especially on A-series devices like A34, A54, and A35 — have reported that:
The Lock Screen clock style customization (Clock adapter) either doesn’t apply,
Or reverts back to default after locking the screen.
This seems to be a known early firmware glitch, not your device alone.
---
🛠️ 2. Try These Fixes
You can try these temporary solutions:
Option A: Reset Lock Screen Customization
1. Go to Settings → Lock screen and AOD → Lock screen.
2. Tap Clock style.
3. Choose a new style → tap Done.
4. Then restart your phone.
→ Sometimes it “sticks” after a reboot.
Option B: Through Wallpaper Editor
1. Long press on the Lock screen itself.
2. Tap Clock → select your style.
3. Apply and test by locking/unlocking.
Option C: Clear System UI Cache
1. Go to Settings → Apps → Show system apps.
2. Find System UI.
3. Tap Storage → Clear cache (not data).
4. Reboot.
Option 😧 Safe Mode Test Boot into Safe Mode (hold power → tap and hold “Power off” → choose Safe Mode).
If the clock works fine there, a third-party theme or customization app is likely conflicting.
---
🧭 3. If It Still Doesn’t Work
It’s most likely a One UI 8.0 lock screen module bug.
Samsung usually patches this in a small maintenance update (≈ 100–300 MB) after rollout.
Keep checking Settings → Software update → Download and install.
---
✅ Optional Tip:
If you use Good Lock, make sure LockStar is updated to the latest version.
Sometimes outdated Good Lock modules override new One UI features.
