My A34 has not been receiving emergency alerts ever since I updated my software to the February 2026 Security Patch

Before that, it's working just fine. The issue is that when I try to open Wireless Emergency Alerts in Settings, it just says that it "keeps stopping".
I can't even open it's history as it also says that it stops working.

My friends A36 which has NOT been updated recieves alerts just fine.

You may find all my screenshots below.
Please let me know how it can fixed. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing the details and screenshots, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Based on the error “Wireless emergency alerts keeps stopping”, this may be related to a system app issue after the recent update.

Kindly try the following steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Show system apps
  2. Search for Wireless Emergency Alerts
  3. Tap Storage > Clear cache and Clear data
  4. Restart the device

Additionally:

  1. Ensure all apps are updated via Galaxy Store / Play Store
  2. Check for any new software update (Settings > Software update)

If the issue still persists, please contact us for further assistance so we can review the case in detail:

Many thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I cannot clear cache or data from the Wireless Emergency Alerts app as for some reason it's disabled. 1774361590138.jpg

Thank you for your follow-up.

We understand your concern regarding the Wireless Emergency Alerts feature not working and the application appearing disabled, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Since you are unable to access or clear data for the feature, kindly try the following additional steps:

  1. Ensure that all system apps are updated via Galaxy Store and Google Play Store
  2. Restart the device and check again
  3. Reset app preferences from Settings > Apps > Reset app preferences (this will re-enable disabled apps)
  4. Check if the feature becomes accessible after the reset

If the issue persists, this may be related to system behavior after the recent update and may require further technical review.
