Sometimes it use to desapear from home screen, if is that issue go to your play store find whatsapp and press (enable). Then go back to home screen you long press until you see wallpapers widgets settings, you choose settings then turn lock home screen layout. You are done After few days you can turn off home screen layout is up to you. Problem solved. If is not that problem then someone else will help you.
