How does Bixby work

It's like Google Assistant but it's limited in functionality. It's not the best. Just use Google Assistant and you will be fine. You are not missing out on using Bixby, even I don't use it

You can interact with Bixby using your voice, text, or taps. It's deeply integrated into the phone, meaning that Bixby is able to carry out a lot of the tasks you do on your phone.

Where can I activate it

If your phone supports Bixby, you should see an icon labeled Bixby in the app drawer (swipe up from homescreen). Select that icon to open Bixby. Not all Samsung phones comes with Bixby.
