Yes, you might be right, but a few days back, my friend exchanged his fold 4 with fold 5. He told me that he got about 10K higher rate from the local market.
I haven't tried yet, so I can't say anything for sure

I think it will be more useful for very old flagship phones that are not accepted in market but recyclable for Samsung. As they make pledges to use recycle material in new flagship
