Whatsapp photos not showing in gallery

After the update whatsapp photos are not showing in the gallery app. Its just showing thw numbwr of photos in the folder but no files is seen when the folder is opened.. 

Eg: The folder is showing 450 photos , but opening the folder shows it empty. I can see the thumbnail of the last image on the folder itself but nothing inside the folder..

Turn ON this Feature in Your WhatsApp App Settings.
Media Visibility.

Already tried turning it off n on and rebooting device. But its the same situation
