I applied a screen protector on my phone. I went to security setting to re register finger print but it's asking me to scan finger print only to enter the fingerprint setting, unlike before where you could enter via pin and re register the fingerprint.
Did you try unlocking through pin. Delete finger prints and try to re register. If this failed try resetting the phone "Reset all settings". If this is not possible then a factory reset will be inevitable.
