Discussions- BATTERY BACKUP & HEAT: battery backup in standby and overall screen on time has worsened. Also I've noticed that the phone gets quite warm during normal usage compared to previous version.
- WIDGETS: Text inside some widgets sometimes glitch and resize to become larger. Issue gets solved when we long press and resize the widget
- CALL SCREEN: On full screen call screen the home gesture refuses to work. Only back works. Issue is not consistent and only occurs a few times a day
- RECENTS CALL SCREEN: Every now and then one contact does not scroll with the rest and is stuck to it's position. Very rare instances.
- GOODLOCK: Just mentioning this here as it's quite unrealistic to expect full seamless compatibility at beta early stages. Good lock will hopefully be fully supported by the time.of stable release.
- CALL STABILITY: I've noticed more instability in call quality especially on wifi calls.
- NETFLIX: On installing beta the netflix app only supported SD streaming. Easily fixed by reinstalling Netflix.
- WHATSAPP: Strange that WhatsApp reloads when I try to change chat background on this beta build.
- VOLUME: Sometimes volume while playing music or steaming video is very low Inspite of being set to full. Force closing and reopening the app fixes the issue.
- ANIMATIONS: Although overall the animations have improved and is better than android 12, I've koticed certain animations such as going to recents menu and some scrolling is a bit choppy and jagged.
- EXPERT RAW: Installing beta 1 broke Expert Raw. But simply reinstalling from galaxy store fixed it.
- GALAXY WATCH 4 CLASSIC: When my watch is connected to the phone, and I receive a call, sometimes even after picking the call on the phone the watch continues to vibrate and ring. During this the caller can't hear our audio although the call is connected. Don't know if this is a watch issue or phone issue.
- SMART SWITCH : Although on every FAQ and samsung website it clearly states that beta can be downgraded to stable builds via smart switch app on PC, I have not found any option to do so while testing. Even option to initialize phone is met with error that says This device cannot be initiated or upgraded. Contacted the number provided on FAQ fpr support and the lady on the line had no clue about beta builds and no technical knowledge. All she could do was give me contact information of nearest service center (which is easily available on Google). On speaking to the service centre, the technician clearly says Samsung phones cannot be downgraded but only upgraded and even they can only try to reinstall the old version. Honestly quite shocked by the lack of technical knowledge of Service and customer support staff especially when dealing with devices that cost upwards of a lakh. I don't think I'd trust them with any repairs if this is the case.
