I’ve been a Samsung fan for years, still am in many ways. But let’s be real...when it comes to software updates, Samsung seriously lags behind. It’s not a one time thing… it’s every single time!
Other brands roll out updates smoothly and Samsung users are just left waiting...and waiting! Even as beta testers, we got Beta 1 late and it came full of bugs. Now Beta 2 feels like it’s taking forever. Forget Beta 3, 4 or stable...at this pace, it’s a long road.
Last year was the same story. We were among the last to get Android updates, while brands like OnePlus were ahead by 4 months. That’s honestly disappointing for a company of this scale.
I’m deep into the Samsung ecosystem which is the only reason I’m still here. But trust? That’s been fading for a while now. I’ve already started leaning toward Pixel and this S23 might be my last Samsung device. Once it’s done... I’m out! No upgrades, no repairs! 👍
I hope that Samsung will prioritize the software experience as much as the hardware for its new users in the future. I will be leaving shortly 👍
Yeah...but it upsets the old users right? I've noticed a lot of negative comments about updates and features. It seems like they prefer to focus more on new buyers than on old users.
Same here too Samsung is just too reluctant to give features to old devices.
I like samsung and if samsung is the company trying it's best to compete with apple, it needs to compete in all departments including software updates and the quality.
Here i am frustrated for being very late to any new software. So i can say that samsung is not even close to iphone in updates
Better to try out other brands and see which is better in terms of updates and features. Btw, today's phones are all feature loaded with good cameras. Samsung is just going down. In this price range, you can get the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Ultra (newly released) with super awesome cameras and processors. Google Pixel is a fantastic phone as well.
