DiscussionsOn a Verizon USA 25 Ultra and all day the pushed OS8 update was failing. It would download, check integrity, then the phone would reboot. around 8 minutes later it would reset again (about the time of the download) , and again and again. The entire day it was doing this dance. As this is a work phone, I don't pay the data overage cost but I understand the update is about 560Mb and I must have downloaded it 20 times on cellular today automatically. Do OS updates get charged to a Verizon limited data plan? It just got resolved at 4 PM PST and must have started at about 0800 this morning. Total fail on someones part, could have been corporate as we have proprietary apps on these locked down phones and they may not have been vetted on the new OS8? Shame on someone for allowing the OS8 update to flow on an untested platform. We usually got a email saying DONT upgrade to latest phone firmware from corporate when we were with ATT as a carrier "until we test our apps with the new OS", totally fine with that but this was an entire wasted day.
