One UI 8 Beta Version: Beta 2, build S928BXXU4ZYHB (September 2025 security patch)
Hi team, I’ve spotted a security issue on my Galaxy S24 Ultra after updating to One UI 8 Beta 2 (build S928BXXU4ZYHB, Sept 2025 patch).
Even though I’ve set Secure Folder to ask for fingerprint or password every time I re-enter, it doesn’t behave that way. Once I unlock it, I can leave for another app or the home screen, come back, and Secure Folder just opens without asking me to authenticate again.
Steps I tried:
- Opened Secure Folder
- Unlocked with fingerprint
- Switched to another app
- Came back, no prompt
Expected: Secure Folder should lock itself and ask for fingerprint or password every time.
Actual: Once unlocked, it stays open until I manually lock it.
This makes sensitive apps and files inside the folder less secure than intended. Can you confirm if this is already logged as a bug and if a fix is coming in the next beta build?
