Problems with optical audio when viewing Netflix

Good day, a friend has bought a 40" Smart TV so she can watch Netflix. She is hard of hearing so uses a wireless headset with AV input to the base unit. This model TV doesn't support AV out, only optical audio out, so we obtained a optical to AV converter to resolve the issue of no AV out. It works pefectly for TV and DVD through TV but fails to work (a rasping noise) when trying to listen to Netflix.

Despite a full reset of the Smart Home the problem still exists.  Any solution to Netfix sound via optical out?

Hi, Seeking66 please try the steps below and test if the issue still persists.

 

1. Access the TV Menu Settings.

2. Select Support.

3. Select Self Diagnosis.

4. Then Reset, Pin will be 0000

 

TV will go off then come back on again, follow the prompts to set the TV to your preference.
