Turn off and unplug the TV for 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Rather reset it to factory settings.
Hi Guys, Gavin here, the Samsung TV guy -self-proclaimed :) , hope to help you out if I can or provide some advice at 5pm. Stay safe!
Hi JayzieJay, hope you're keeping well !
Unfortunately not on the TV directly, Microsoft bought the rights to Skype a few years back and then stopped all TV app support which means they discontinued the Skype app from all TVs.
An alternative is screen mirroring your mobile device to the TV and using your mobile and TV to webcam or video call.
(the TV will just be a larger display of your mobile screen, but then the whole family can still see it)
Hi all, the easiest way to update software on your TV is directly through the settings menu on your TV.
If your TV isn't connected to the internet or your connection isn't stable, you can also update using a USB stick by downloading it from our website.
To connect your smart bluetooth TV remote to your TV, press and hold both buttons on either side of the Home button for about 5-8sec while standing close to the TV. You will see a pop-up at the top of the TV to confirm the connection.
If you're not sure your normal TV remote(infra-red) is working or if the batteries are flat. Open the camera app on your mobile device and point the remote at the camera.
If you press any button on the remote you will see a flash of light thru the camera from your remote.
If you don't see a light, then consider changing the batteries.
