Open your Eyes to Bixby Vision!

In the past few days, we have seen a lot of posts related to Bixby and by now most of us would know that it has 3 sub-apps namely Bixby Home (Samsung Daily), Vision and the well known Voice Assistant.

In this post we will learn about the features and uses of Bixby Vision.

What is Bixby Vision and how do I use it?

Bixby Vision is a feature that allows you to get information about the world around you simply by opening your camera.Built into your smartphone, Bixby Vision makes it easier to learn more about the world around you.
Tap the Vision icon in the camera or gallery app to search, shop, and translate at the touch of a finger.
Bixby Vision also has accessibility support to help the visually impaired. 

Open the Camera app > select Auto mode > and tap the Bixby Vision button.

There are two modes to choose from.

1) When you use Lens mode you can get restaurant recommendations, get information on your meal, find similar items in a photo, and more. Select the category you want—place, image, shopping, wine, or food—and focus your camera on the object on which you'd like more information.

 Smarter Searching

Don’t struggle to think of keywords. Simply point your camera at what you’re interested in.Bixby Vision will bring you the information you need, from the name of a famous landmark you’re visiting to image search results, and more.

 Translation

Extract, translate, share, search and read text.From small labels to big signs, easily translate text of various lengths and sizes with Bixby Vision.

Quick reader: Identifies items and reads out text in real-time.

2) You can also use Apps mode, which uses AR so you can virtually try on sunglasses, makeup, and more and even see how furniture would look in your home. You have the option of adding Bixby Vision icons to the Home screen or Apps screen so you can tap from there.
