How about this for a useful idea: make serving size an optional input for custom foods such that the app divides calories/serving. So we the users can say we ate 25g of 'custom food' instead of .4 servings of that food, or 25 calories. It'd be such a great quality of life improvement
Example:
Food 1 has a serving size of 100g with 267 calories.
267cal/100g = 2.67 cal/g
Now the user inputs that they ate 23g of Food 1:
23g * 2.67cal ≈ 61 cal
Currently, without this suggestion, it's only possible to choose .2 servings or .3 servings which correspond to 53 and 80 calories respectively
