s9 not connecting to Android auto

When I try to connect my Samsung s9 to a car using usb cable, android auto is never detected , however , it works perfectly with another Samsung note 9 so the issue is not in the car nor the cable

please, reset and clear the cash for AA app.
Make sure that the cable connecting your phone to the car is connected properly on both ends.

Run AA manually on your phone before connecting it to the car, and when connecting the phone to the car's console, allow the permission requested by the app.

I think the problem is I get usb device not detected when I connect the usb end to my phone, however, this doesn't happen with the note 9, I cleaned the usb port in the s9 in vain.
